How should Christians think about profit-based surrogacy?

Question #84

Profit-driven surrogacy (there is no other kind) treats wombs and children as commodities. Scripture teaches that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), not products to buy or rent. Christians should reject arrangements that fracture motherhood and instead honor every child as a human being, made by God and deserving protection.

The only examples of surrogacy that scripture provides are bad. Think about Sarah giving her servant Hagar to Abraham for a child...
